The countdown to the biggest football tournament in the world has begun, and we've waited four years! Just to help kickstart the Word Cup soccer festival that is about to take the world by storm, I have compiled a list of 15 interesting facts about this year’s Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) World Cup to be hosted by Russia. 1. Russia was given the rights to host the FIFA World Cup for the very first time in its history. This historical moment took place on December 2, 2010. The matches will kick off on June 14, 2018 with the finals taking place on July 15, 2018. 2. This will be Russia’s 11 th  appearance in the World Cup. 3. Russia’s highest ever finish in the FIFA World Cup is the 4 th  position in the 1966 World Cup. 4. This will be the first FIFA World Cup to be hosted in Europe since 2006 and the first time ever a World Cup is hosted in Eastern Europe. 5. Interesting facts of FIFA World Cup 2014

1. BRAZUCA


        The ball used for FIFA WORLD CUP 2014 is named BRAZUCA. For the first time fans have selected the name of the ball. It was done through voting. Around 1million fans have voted for this name. BRAZUCA means "LIFE STYLE OF A BRAZILIAN". FIFA Technical Commitee has taken this step for making fans to get involved in the Championship and also through this the Championship gets publicity. Also the ball is incorporated with a 6HD Camera.

2.SHOES of the Players

             FIFA Technical Commitee has given special preference for the shoes this time. It has made sure that player should be comfortable while kicking the ball.  It has designed in such a way that the heel should not get hurted. This is the one of the special things in the FIFA World Cup. NIKE Company has designed the shoe called MAGISTA, ADIDAS Company has designed 2 shoes called MESSI PLAYING STYLE & ALL IN ONE NITTED SHOE.

3. JERSEY

         Now a days players do not use normal jerseys. This time jerseys are manufactured with a new technology, so that players are comfortable. Italy's jersey consists massage strip so that the players muscles are not harmed. Match kit that are given to the players are plastic battles that are made by recycling, it has DRY FIT Technology, Mesh pannel & other advantages.
