The countdown to the biggest football tournament in the world has begun, and we've waited four years! Just to help kickstart the Word Cup soccer festival that is about to take the world by storm, I have compiled a list of 15 interesting facts about this year’s Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) World Cup to be hosted by Russia. 1. Russia was given the rights to host the FIFA World Cup for the very first time in its history. This historical moment took place on December 2, 2010. The matches will kick off on June 14, 2018 with the finals taking place on July 15, 2018. 2. This will be Russia’s 11 th  appearance in the World Cup. 3. Russia’s highest ever finish in the FIFA World Cup is the 4 th  position in the 1966 World Cup. 4. This will be the first FIFA World Cup to be hosted in Europe since 2006 and the first time ever a World Cup is hosted in Eastern Europe. 5. GOAL LINE TECHNOLOGY

          There are 7 Camera eyes that are kept around the football ground through this technology. Otherthan that these cameras capture 500 frames per second. This will be sent to 15 computers. Later Referees are given small electronic device through which they will watch the footages of the camera for confirming whether the ball has crossed the Goal Line or not. Through this technology there is a hope of a very big issue getting resolved.
